Donald Trump Does Not Know How to Lose

Winning Bigly Since the 70’s

Anyone who had heard the name, Donald Trump, prior to the presidential election has more than likely heard about his many successes. The guy built a multi-billion dollar real estate empire with his bare hands, while also becoming one of the most influential reality TV stars of all time. His television show, The Celebrity Apprentice, was well renowned for having incredibly high ratings while donating millions upon millions of dollars to various charities worldwide. Add these accomplishments to the fact that he is a self-made billionaire and it should not be a surprise that Donald Trump would, at the very least, make an effective president. He obviously knows how to get stuff done.

He Does Not Know How to Lose

President Trump had several things that he liked to say on the campaign trail. One of the more well-known ones was, “We’re going to win so much, you’re going to be so sick and tired of winning.” It was catchy and had a nice ring to it, but did anybody honestly expect anything close to the amount of winning we have witnessed with this administration? President Trump has been adding items to his already long list of accomplishments faster than anybody has ever seen or thought possible.

His first significant accomplishment was the appointment of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. This was a rare opportunity because Supreme Court Justices are lifetime appointments, so openings do not happen very often. Another very significant accomplishment of the Trump administration is the tax-cut bill. He slashed the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21% and reduced individual rates across the board, creating the largest tax-cut in American history.

The tax bill, known as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, also eliminated the Obamacare mandate which was forcing people to buy insurance. President Trump has completed many other smaller yet significant accomplishments such as pulling out of the Trans-Pacific Partnership, withdrawing from the Paris Climate Accord and working to renegotiate NAFTA.

He was accomplishing all of these things while working diligently to cancel or delay over 1500 regulations in his first year in office. ISIS is on the run, other countries around the world are starting to respect us again, and the MAGA movement is in full swing all across America. Additionally, in one of his boldest moves yet, President Trump declared Jerusalem to be the capital of Israel.

So Much Winning

This sure feels like a great deal of winning for an administration still in its first 18 months. In fact, this laundry list of accomplishments would be a great set of presidential achievements for an entire four-year term. Recently we have witnessed North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un, cross the world’s most heavily armed border into South Korea, marking the first time a North Korean leader has stepped foot into the territory since 1953. This would have never been possible without Trump’s bold leadership style and maximum-pressure campaign that he levied against North Korea shortly after taking office.

The two Korean leaders vowed to sign a peace treaty later this year and to denuclearize the peninsula. This was a huge announcement and something that some experts never thought possible and yet, it would seem under Donald Trump, anything is possible.

If peace on the Korean peninsula is possible, is it that big of a stretch to think of the possibility of peace in the Middle East, too? For that matter, what about world peace? For many, with President Trump at the helm, anything is possible. One thing is for certain: If he keeps going at the same rate that he has been, you may as well get the sculptors up to Mount Rushmore, because he will go down as one of the greatest and most influential presidents in American history.

  1. Excellent work. President Trump does tend to let loose on his twitter feed and say some things that seem a little off or harsh even. I would ask everyone to take a look at this article and let his actions speak for themselves. I had a feeling that we were going to have to let history decide what the world thinks of POTUS. History has been happening and America could be looking at a new Golden age. Excellent post Caden Corbin.
