The Silver Lining of Rex Tillerson's Ousting

Rex Tillerson Replaced by Mike Pompeo

Once called the “embodiment of the American Dream” by President Trump, Rex Tillerson was nominated for Secretary of State in December 2016. Sworn in by Mike Pence last February, it now seems as though Tillerson's time in office has ended.

Early Tuesday morning, President Trump announced, via Twitter, that CIA director Mike Pompeo would take over for Tillerson as Secretary of State. Amid questions from the media, Trump stated that, while he and Rex got along very well, they simply “disagree” on some things. Considering the Secretary reportedly called President Trump a moron last July, it seems they may disagree on more than just a few things.

Ideological Differences Separated the Two Men

One topic President Trump mentioned was how the two men differed on the Iran deal. President Trump has been very outspoken about the deal, calling it terrible for America, while Tillerson has voiced his support of staying in the Obama era arrangement. The President has nominated CIA Director Mike Pompeo to become the new Secretary of State, saying “we have a similar thought process.” Pompeo was nominated as CIA Director by President Trump and became the director officially January 23, 2017. Since his nomination, many have reported and commented about the Directors pro Trump actions, which many today believe sparked Pompeo’s nomination.

The mainstream media, of course, has been relentless with the spin and the propaganda, making claims and accusations about the Trump administration’s supposed revolving door as of late. The liberal wing of the Twitter-verse has even begun a narrative on the special bond between Pompeo and Trump. As always, the hypocrisy of the left is in full bloom and their desperation to ruin President Trump has them spinning conspiracy theories and clinging, still, to the Russia narrative.

Another Historic Milestone for Women

Amid the ousting of Rex Tillerson, and the subsequent nomination of the acting CIA Director, President Trump has nominated Gina Haspel to replace Mike Pompeo. In an agency that has existed for over 70 years, Donald J. Trump just nominated, what could be, its first female Director. Currently, the acting Deputy Director of the CIA, Haspel is another amazing example of the strong female leaders that President Trump has positioned in and around his circle. She will join others like Nikki Haley, and Sarah Sanders in the spotlight. Trump’s inclusion of women in his administration has highlighted what it means to be an American woman and has provided shining role models for our younger generations.

Feminists Are Nowhere to Be Seen

Where are the feminists, or the equal rights activists? Why is there no excitement among female leaders around the historic nomination of Gina Haspel? Once again, Donald Trump has destroyed their narrative. By firing Rex Tillerson and replacing him with Mike Pompeo, Trump has elevated a woman who has a strong, hardened, America First ideology. The President is firmly in control with his every move, and looking at the all-around picture, MAGA seems to be picking up speed.

I am a father, journeyman, tradesman and poet. I am one of those people who wasn't born with a filter and I see no reason for one. Voting for President Donald Trump ranks among the top five best choices I ever made.
