Time Runs Out As Rosenstein Faces Articles Of Impeachment

Republicans Celebrate News of Possible Impeachment of Rosenstein

Happy news for Republican and MAGA supporters as it is learned that a member of the house has drafted articles of impeachment against Rod Rosenstein. Fox News learned Friday April 13th that the articles were drafted, although not yet filed. California Rep. Devin Nunes told Laura Ingraham on Monday, “We are not going to just hold in contempt. We will have a plan to hold in contempt and to impeach.”

This lines up perfectly with the prediction on April 8 from Daily Caller News Foundation writer Chuck Ross that was prompted by an interview with Judge Jeanine of Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.). In that interview, Meadows tells Pirro there are a “growing number of us on Capitol Hill who believe that someone else needs to do the job.” This in conjunction with documents subpoenaed March 22 related to the Russia and Clinton investigations, the deadline for which (April 5) has come and gone.

Will Trump Fire Instead?

However, that story is competing with another which seems to have more traction. The DCNF obtained emails written by Jim Himes (D-CT). In these emails, along with other important revelations, Himes lets his readers know that it is “more likely than not” either Mueller, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, or Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein will be fired “in the next 48 hours.”

Breitbart News obtained a statement from Rob Wasinger, Trump transition team official, in which he claims he thought Trump would fire Rod Rosenstein soon. However, Chad Pergram, who also shared that articles of impeachment have been drafted, stated there were no plans in the White House of doing so, but that it did not preclude the possibility of termination.

Since the AG, DAG, and other Department of Justice officials serve at the pleasure of the President, any of them can be fired without reason, and at any time. The possibility has democrats screaming obstruction again. Progressives have always labored under the misapprehension that firing Mueller justifies impeaching Trump on charges of obstruction. This sentiment seems to have transferred to Rosenstein.

Democratic Protests Are Out of hand

Himes called for demonstrations to be held in his email, advocating the planning of nationwide protests over the Mueller investigation, believing that termination within the top tier of the DOJ is imminent. For some reason, Rep. Brendan Boyle of Pennsylvania threatened his own articles of impeachment against Trump should he exercise his right to fire Rosenstein.

A Daily Caller source claims democrats need contingency plans set up in case Trump takes action. A sentiment repeated by other Democrats in similar notices to their staff. Apparently, this means working with MoveOn and other progressive organizations to coordinate street protests all over small-town America in objection to the firing of anyone related to the Mueller probe. DCNFs Chuck Ross said on April 11 that FBI Director Wray is also in top lawmakers sights. One more thing to throw a fit over.

However, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee, makes it very clear that what Mark Meadows terms “slow walking” of subpoenaed documents is intolerable, and that it will not be long before patience runs out. In a statement Monday on Ingraham Angle, Nunes states emphatically, “We will have a plan to hold in contempt and to impeach.”
